Haematology

Haematology is the study of blood, the blood-forming organs, and blood diseases. It also includes the diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and prevention of blood diseases that affect the production of blood and its components, such as blood cells, haemoglobin, blood proteins, and the mechanism of coagulation.

Sixty years ago, Wallace Coulter believed that science should serve humanity. By patenting a principle that is the basis for all blood counting solutions, he did just that.
